Previously Abbott and Costello met Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolfman, Dr. Jekyll, Mr Hyde, the Killer (Karloff) and the Invisible Man.
The film received mixed reviews, but is now considered one of the team's better late entry films. Supporting actors Richard Deacon and Marie Windsor were singled out in reviews for being entertaining in the film. Eddie Parker, billed as "Edwin Parker," played the Mummy.
