Andheri station
Andheri Station is a bustling sea of humanity. It is the fifth station on the Mumbai suburban railway's Western line. A major industrial area lies to the east and plush residential areas like Juhu Vile Parle Development scheme (JVPD) and Versova lie to its west. Roadside hawkers, snack sellers cater to the grocery buyer or a puckish commuter in the evenings.
Early mornings see a frenetic activity where newspaper distributors collate supplements for dispatch. The eastern side of the station is a major bus depot connecting Andheri to eastern suburbs like Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Kurla and industrial areas like MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) facilities at Saki Naka and Marol.
