Bostel
RTV Bostel or Bostel is Bosnian radio-television of Chicago. Its television program is two hours long and is completely in the Bosnian language. It first aired in September of 2001. Bostel is the first and only type of television service for Bosnians.
Bostel radio-television gives its listners-viewers concrete and current entertainment information on Chicago and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Bostel team forms creative, educational, and interesting shows for both its radio program and television programs. Bostel is always up-to-date with its information.
It primarily broadcasts in Chicago, Chicagoland (suburbs), and the city of St. Louis. It is found on channel 41, through local broadcasting. RTV Bostel has established an agreement with Dish Network, to have it broadcast, the Bostel television program on thursdays for one-hour.
Along with its radio and television broadcasts, Bostel tires to raise money for charities. It raises money for the Bosnian Mosque of the Chicagoland area. Currently it is raising for the establishment of a Bosnian Cultural Center in Chicago for the Bosnian community. It is also known for its money donations to poverty-stricken men, women, and children of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Update
RTV Bostel has been a licensed Radio-Television station in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bostel says that it has started its 24-hour channel since October 2006. The 24-hour station program will be comming to Chicago and other parts of the Uniteed States really soon, by December 2006. This is an important accomplishment for the Bosnian community in the United States.
Bostel's moto is that it connects the displaced Bosnians with their nation. This is very much true considering the programs that they bring to the United States. One program called "Naša Riječ" gives inside and asks for donations to the poor. Bostel's focus is on helping the community as much as posible.
