Caspar Bartholin the Younger
Caspar Bartholin the Younger (1655 – 1738), was a Danish anatomist who first described the "Bartholin's gland" in the 17th century. Born in Copenhagen.
He is grandson of theologian and anatomist Caspar Bartholin (the Elder) and son of Thomas Bartholin.
The discovery is sometimes mistakenly credited to his grandfather, Bartholin the Elder.
In about 1696, Jacob B. Winsløw was Bartholin's prosector.
