De Puta Madre
De Puta Madre is a Belgian hip hop group from Schaerbeek in Brussels. They started out in the early 1990s and have attained quite some underground success. The group is made up of MC Rayer, Pee Gonzalez (aka Sozy One, aka Pablo, also famous as a graffiti artist) and DJ Smimooz.
The name De Puta Madre has nothing to do with Spanish for 'son of a bitch' (which is said "Hijo de Puta" or, shortened, "Hijoe Puta"). It means literally 'of (a) whore mother', but it's real meaning is slang for 'excellent', 'fat' or a cry out of enthusiasm.
