Flag of Nagorno-Karabakh

The flag of Nagorno-Karabakh, an unrecognised self-proclaimed government in a region of Azerbaijan, is derived from the flag of Armenia, with only a white pattern added. This symbolises the Armenian heritage and population of the area and represents Nagorno-Karabakh as being a separated region of Armenia by the triangular shape. The pattern is also similar to the designs used on Armenian rugs.
