High Moon Studios
High Moon Studios is a video game developer formerly known as Sammy Studios, Inc, originally a subsidiary of Sammy Corporation. In 2005, Sega Sammy Holdings, the result of the merger between Sammy Corporation and Sega, decided to close Sammy Studios so that they could disengage from game development in North America and instead focus on its Japanese productions. On March 7, 2005 CEO John Rowe along with an investment group purchased all rights to Sammy Studios and renamed it High Moon Studios. High Moon Studios retained their console title under development, Darkwatch, which Capcom published in the summer of 2005.
Currently, High Moon Studios is developing a secret project for the XBOX 360.
On January 5, 2006, Vivendi Universal Games acquired High Moon Studios for an undisclosed sum and is now part of Sierra Entertainment
