Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (IATA: SHA, ICAO: ZSSS) (Chinese: 上海虹桥机场; pinyin: Shànghǎi Hóngqiáo Jīcháng; literally "Rainbow Bridge Airport") is one of the two airports in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. The airport is in the western part of a still relatively urban area of Shanghai.
Before the construction of Shanghai-Pudong International Airport in 1999, Hongqiao Airport served as Shanghai's main international airport. Now the airport mostly serves domestic flights.
One taxi rank service the airport from the arrivals level. A bus stop provides various services to other parts of the city. As of October 2003, one minibus route terminates at Jing An Temple station, and costs four-and-a-half renminbi.

Transportation
Passengers leaving the airport will have to wait in line outside the building for usually an hour to get a taxi. This can be especially uncomfortable during the Summer as the temperature is high and the people in line tend to smoke.
