Maritime Square (Traditional Chinese: 青衣城) is a 4-storey shopping centre located on Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It was built and is owned by the MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL) in conjunction with the opening of Tsing Yi station. Maritime Square is directly connected to Tierra Verde, a large housing complex that is also built and developed by the MTRCL.
The shopping centre contains a Golden Harvest Cinema, numerous restaurants, and many common stores found in area shopping malls, including a Starbucks, a Toys "Я" Us and a PARKnSHOP Superstore. Within also contains a Hong Kong Jockey Center, which is the first Office-course betting branch of Hong Kong Jockey Club opened successfully on the island.
Future Expansion
There are plans to expand the shopping centre into the existing bus terminal to further cater for the needs of residents of Tsing Yi. Some oppose the plan that it will block the already crowded skyline.
