Modernism/modernity is an academic journal founded in 1994 and the official publication of the Modernist Studies Association. The journal is an interdisciplinary effort—covering such topics as architecture, music, and literature—fostering dialogue between social scientists and humanists on the history of modernism. Book reviews and thematically unified articles are included. In 2003, it won the Phoenix Award from the Council of Editors of Learned Journals. The editors are Doctors Cassandra Laity of Drew University, Lawrence Rainey of the University of York, and Jeffrey T. Schnapp of Stanford University.
The journal is published quarterly in January, April, September, and November. Circulation is 1,125 and the average length of an issue is 208 pages.
