The Rules
On each show 3 contestants played against each other with the winner playing for the chance to win a holiday.
In the opening round each contestant answered questions on their year of birth and 2 points for each correct answer but before the contestant were asked the questions the other 2 contestants had to guess the year that the contestant was born by some clues including the front page of the newspaper from the day the contestant was born, if they guessed correctly or if they were 1 year out either way they scored 2 points.
Then they played Round 2 in which each contestant were presented with 9 answers on a videowall and were asked questions were the names on the wall were the answers and if they gave a correct answer they scored 2 points and that answer was covered up by the Runway logo but if they were wrong that answer would disappear and were told to guess again up to 2 times, when there was one answer left on the board the contestant answered a question to do with that answer and if they got it right they scored 4 points.
The final round was called the `Dirty Tricks` round where the contestants answered questions on the buzzer if they got the question right they were given a choice either add 4 points to their score or deduct 4 points from one of their opponents, in the first 2 series the contestants won prizes if they passed the 40,50 and 60 point targets and was indicated on the front of the contestant's podiums by a flashing light around their scores.
At the end of the round the contestant with the most points won through to the `Holiday Runway` round of the show while the losers left with a copy of a newspaper from the day they were born and the prizes won on the Dirty Tricks round.
The winner then played the `Holiday Runway` round where they had 75 seconds to answer 9 questions correctly to win the major holiday, each correct answer lit a white light on the runway path, after they gave 3 correct answers they were offered the choice to quit and win a short weekend break or to carry on and answer 3 more questions correctly to win a European holiday but if they answered the next 3 correctly they had the same choice but this time it would be for the star prize of a major holiday in a worldwide destination, but if they ran out of time he/she would fall back to the weekend break and also leave with a copy of the newspaper from the day they were born.
