Scottish Hydro Electric is a brand of SSE Energy Supply Limited, a retail business of Scottish and Southern Energy plc.
When Scottish Hydro-Electric plc and Southern Electric plc merged in 1998, SSE was formed but continued trading with the same retail brand names the public is familiar with.
