Sint-Truiden
Sint-Truiden (French: Saint-Trond) is a municipality located in the province of Limburg, Flemish Region, Belgium and is near the towns of Hasselt and Tongeren (Tongres). On January 1 2006 Sint-Truiden had a total population of 38,247. The total area is 106.90 km² which gives a population density of 358 inhabitants per km².
The municipality formed around an abbey founded by St. Trudo in the 7th century. In the later Middle Ages it was a fortified town belonging to the bishops of Liège, and Charles the Bold captured it in 1467.
A Belgian premier league football club is based in Sint-Truiden: K. Sint-Truidense V.V.
