Tortosa
Tortosa (Latin Dertusa, Arabic طرطوشة Ṭurṭūšah) is the capital of the comarca of Baix Ebre, in the province of Tarragona, in Catalonia, Spain, located at 12 metres above the sea, by the Ebre river. Population 30,088 (1996).
It was conquered from the Moors by the Count Ramon Berenguer IV of Barcelona in 1148.
