(Redirected from Tribe.ca)

Tribe Magazine was a free print magazine originally distributed in Toronto, Ontario as well as across Canada from 1993 through to 2005. The magazine featured photography, music, CD reviews, dance and club listings. It currently has an online presence only in the form of an internet message board which provides many of the functions the print version of the magazine did.

Magazine

Tribe Magazine's beginnings coincided with Toronto's fledgling club scene. The name was coined after alexd observed "tribes" of club kids roaming the streets of the city looking for warehouse parties after the normal bars closed.

In 2004, it boasted a circulation of 100,000 readers a month [1].

Message Board

While the print version of the Magazine no longer exists, Tribe lives on in the form of an internet message board. It's life as a magazine died due to it's eventual selling out. That is Tribe is dominated by Metrosexuals. It gained international exposure in June and July of 2004, when a member allegedly witnessed an intoxicated Russell Crowe causing a scene at a local bar [2].
