Troy Cassar-Daley
Troy Cassar-Daley is an Australian Aboriginal country musician from Grafton, New South Wales.
He has been a regular at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, The Deadlys and visitor to Nashville, Tennessee. He performed in the Australian Country Music Showcase in Nashville, along with Lee Kernaghan, Gina Jeffreys and Tommy Emmanuel.
He released his first EP, "Dream Out Loud", and was nominated for his first Golden Guitar for Best Male Vocalist in 1994. He has won many awards, the 1995 ARIA Award for 'Best Country Record', 1996 Country Music Awards in Tamworth, Troy won the 'Best Male Vocal' Award, 2000 CMAA Awards Best Male Vocal and Song Of The Year for 'They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore' and almost a decades worth of Deadly Awards.
Troy Cassar-Daley is one of the celebrities featured in the singing competition It Takes Two aired on Seven Network in 2006.

The Early Troy
Troy's country roots date back to when he was a small eleven year old boy so overwhelmed by the Tamworth Country Music Festival that he bas back the next year busking on the streets. At 16 Troy and his band, Little Eagle, were touring North Coast NSW and he made the top 10 in Tamworth's "Star Maker" quest. He would go on to win the 1996 "Search For a Star" Competition. He then toured with Brian Young for seven months in which he began to develop his groundbreaking songwriting skills. This would enable him to have a deeper control over his music in later years. After returning home he replaced James Blundell as leader of country music band 'The Blue Heeler Band'. By late 1993 Troy had collected enough original songs to release his debut EP.
Beyond the Dancing
The first single 'Dream Out Loud' was released in 1994 by Sony Music. The track shot up to the No.1 position on the country music charts. The album was released in January 1995 and Troy won the 1995 Aria Award for Best Country Record. At the 1996 Country Music Awards, in Tamworth, Troy won "Best Male Vocalist". He also made a cameo appearance in the motion picture 'Race the Sun' in which he peformed a song in a bar scene.
In June that year Troy was part of the Australian Country Music Showcase in Nashville. The Showcase included Lee Kernaghan, Gina Jeffreys and Tommy Emmanuel. As a result Troy returned to the States to record his new album "True Believer" with Steve Dorff.
True Believer
During the January 1997 release of 'True Believer' Troy toured with Leanne Rimes and by himself.At the 1998 Country Music Awards in Tamworth Troy won three Gold Guitars - Best Male Vocal for his single "Little Things", Album of the Year for "True Believer" and Best Video for "Little Things".
Big River
Big River was released in 1999 after working with Garth Porter who had previously helped Lee Kernaghan's rise to national fame. The name of the album was in memory of the area of his Grafton home. At the 2000 Australia Country Music Awards Troy won Best Male Vocal and Song Of The Year for 'They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore'
